Managing Director USA

Vincent Sheppard has been designing and manufacturing indoor and outdoor furniture with exceptional seating comfort since 1992. Our company is the worldwide market leader in Loom furniture, a technique where kraft paper is twisted around a metal wire and woven into unique furniture pieces.  

Today, our furniture is exported to more than 80 countries on six continents and the number keeps growing. We are proud to say that our furniture can be found in the most beautiful hotels, homes and restaurants all over the world.  

Driven by the need for a local presence in the United States, Vincent Sheppard will establish Vincent Sheppard USA with a sales office and manage operations such as supply, warehousing and outbound logistics in the USA. 

For our new company in the United States of America we have a vacancy for the position of Managing Director USA

The role

• You are responsible for further developing the business in the United States for both Indoor & Outdoor through all channels (retailers, hospitality, designers, showrooms, …)
• You identify the right decision makers and convince them of the opportunities Vincent Sheppard Products can offer them by building a strong business case for them.
• You negotiate framework agreements with existing and new customers & by building strong and long-term partnerships from A to Z.
• As an entrepreneur, you know how to identify and translate US market tendencies & customer needs to our design and product development team. You work closely together towards an innovative and qualitative product portfolio with the NPD team.
• You will work daily, actively & closely with the Operations Manager for the USA who is in charge of the supply, warehousing, and outbound logistics.
• You build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
• You report to the Board of Directors. Together with the Board you will make high-level decisions about the policy and strategy for the USA.  
  
  

Your profile

• The education level required for this role is master or equivalent through experience. At least 10 years of experience, preferably in the furniture industry, is needed for this role.
• Good knowledge of the United States furniture / home market is required.
• You have high integrity, trustworthiness, and excellent interpersonal relation skills.
• You are able and willing to travel extensively across the country, often at short notice.
